Fenella Feverfew and Griselda Blackwood are the dynamic deadly duo who have been the best of friends since their first year together at Cackle's Academy. Together they tackle the task of obtaining the Witches Higher Certificate by studying hard and signing out all the interesting spell books at the beginning of each year.

Fenella and Griselda spend much of their time in the library learning incantations and enchantments from the great Book of Spells. Aside from learning magic in school, they practice it as a hobby, which makes them the most knowledgeable girls at Cackle's. It is a well-known fact that they know their magic, and it's no wonder that Mildred and her friends often come to them seeking answers.

Fen and Griz, as they are affectionately known to their friends, display amazing leadership qualities and are often called upon to do certain things for the teachers and students. Aside from their great learning capacities, they can also throw together an amazing song and dance. They cherish their "big sister" roles and can always be counted on for guidance and words of wisdom.
