D&D3 Omni-classing

As I discuss in my article on multiclassing, most evenly split multiclasses are fairly penalized compared to specialists. An exception is the "omni-classer", who takes only 1 or 2 levels in a wide variety of classes. There are often many abilities bundled with 1st level in a class. For example, a Rogue who takes 1 level in Ranger effectively gets 5 new feats: Medium Armor Proficiency, Shield Proficiency, Tracking, Two-Weapon Fighting, and Ambidexterity.

The omniclasser cannot work as a spellcaster, but can be quite effective compared to other non-spellcasting classes like Fighters and Rogues. Below I give some example builds of omni-class progression.

The Dirty Fighter

This is a omniclass path which specializes in dirty fighting.

Seeker

This omniclass plass represents a figure who is working to become a better person. While some are born to the path of a paladin, others have to find their calling through many trials.
