Marbas

	A demon of exceeding cunning and cruelty. In his true form, he stands 
seven feet tall, with stone-gray skin and a rigid, expressionless face. He 
sports a long tail with bone barbs at its tip. His breath and spittle are a 
poison which burns the skin and flesh, causing great pain in his victims and 
thus delight for himself. 

	Marbas is a demon of the foulest kind, for he causes evil not only in 
his own acts, but inspires chaos and malice within everyone whom he has 
contacts. He is known to possess the mage who summoned him or one nearby, 
and reside in that person for a very long time. Thus in the semblance of a 
man, he causes much grief to those close to his victim, and urges them to 
the same unfeeling cruelty he shows them. 

	In particular, he targets children for his possession. The child will 
merely seem withdrawn, but on its own it will find animals to play with - 
breaking their limbs and then torturing them, with a calm, pleasant face. If 
allowed to continue, he will find ways to do the same to the child's peers 
and even adults. 

	Even once the demon is exorcised, the vessel it possessed is forever 
thereafter dull and spiritless, drained by the ordeal. The only way to hope 
of restoring the possessed person unharmed is to identify and exorcise the 
demon immediately - within a week, preferrably. In general, the sooner the 
better, for there are few minds which can withstand Marbas' tortures for 
long without becoming forever scarred.

GM NOTES: 

	Marbas feeds off the will (EGO) of those he possesses, thus he is 
devotedly attached to Marc as a fount of power.

	He is a rapist and torturer, who goes out of his way to cause pain 
and especially *shame*. Even outside of what he feels is his duty in this 
regard, he is a bully who will trample weaker demons for the fun of it.
