This is a brief overview of the history of inclusion of minorities and women in RPGs from the 1970s to 2010. I have selected out notable games with a focus on non-white characters and culture, as well as women. The first and most common minority included has been Japanese * Empire of the Petal Throne (1975) * RuneQuest (?) - Pamaltela in Glorantha * Bushido (1980) and Land of the Rising Sun (1980) reflected * Star Trek ? * Marvel Superheroes (1984) prominently featured Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau) * GURPS and various non-white worldbooks such as GURPS Aztecs, GURPS China, ... * Oriental Adventures (1985) * Macho Women With Guns (1988) * Shadowrun (1989) - notable for American Indian inclusion * Everway (1995) * Deadlands (1996) - notable for American Indian archetypes * Dungeons & Dragons, 3rd edition (2000) * Dark Continent (2001) - * The Legacy of Zorro (2001) * Tibet the RPG (2004) * Wyrd is Bond (2004) * Blue Rose (2005) * Steal Away Jordan (2007) * Pathfinder (2008) The 2000s also saw the release of a few more female * Nicotine Girls (2002) * Best Friends (2006) * The Princess Game (2007) * Witch Girls Adventures (2009) http://www.academia.edu/2630413/_Odalisques_Orientals_and_Orcs_Racism_and_Racial_Stereotyping_in_Dungeons_and_Dragons._ https://raceindnd.wordpress.com/ http://chroniclesofharriet.com/2012/01/19/racism-role-playing/ https://www.rpggeek.com/blogpost/40708/interview-strix-myths-minorities-and-feminine-horr http://www.tor.com/blogs/2015/04/why-minority-settings-in-rpgs-matter
