Godlike is a superhero RPG set in during World War II, from Pagan Publishing and Hobgoblynn Press. The basic dice mechanic is to roll a number of 10-sided dice, and looking for matches among the rolled dice. Matching sets have two values:
Normally if there are multiple matches you can choose which one to use. If you are trying to do two actions at once, however, you can assign a match to each action.
Found by: In general determines: In combat determines: Width number of matching dice speed of completion damage Height face value of matching dice quality of success hit location
The following table shows the basic probabilities of rolling a given width. The chances of a given height are roughly equal from 1 to 10. Thus, the chance of rolling height 7 or higher is 40% of the chance of rolling any success. Note that when throwing 4 or more dice there is a chance of getting more than one double -- in which case the higher pair is used. However, this is a fairly small correction.
|Dice||Chance of Width =||Fail||2||3||4||5||6||7|
